State Chapter 667 - Elderly/Disabled
One bedroom elderly/disabled 667 housing rent is based upon 30% of gross income with electricity, heat and water included. Tenants are responsible for their own telephone and cable. There is no asset limit. Interest imputed on assets is used when calculating rent. The NHA is governed by the Department of Housing and Community Development. We do not have any federal housing programs, nor do we distribute section 8 vouchers.
Preferences will be given to those who reside or work in the town of Northborough. Veterans Preference will be given to those that qualify and affirmative action will also apply. Emergency case status is given to those that meet the specifically defined criteria.
Income Guidelines Effective August 1, 2016 are as follows:
1 person: $46,000, 2 persons: $52,600, 3 person: $59.150, 4 persons: $65,700,
5 persons: $71,000, 6 persons: $76,250, 7 persons: $81,500, 8 persons: $86,750.

Family 705 housing rent is based upon 27% of gross income and they pay for their own utilities except water. There is no asset limit. Interest imputed on assets is used when calculating rent. The NHA is governed by the Department of Housing and Community Development. We do not have any federal housing programs, nor do we distribute section 8 vouchers.
